Description

The Majortech MT587 15KV Insulation Tester is rated DC CAT III 300V and starts with a safer 250V setting with increments of 50V which gives you more control over your test.  The unit will automatically discharge the circuit after the test has been completed helping you stay safe.

For further ease of use, the range button includes 6 preset ranges of  500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5kV,10kV and 15kV. The tester has an insulation resistance up to 35TOhm so you get better clarity on quality of insulation.

The microprocessor controlled Majortech MT587 gives you a more versatile diagnostic tool and is intended for testing insulation:

  • On Rotating Machines & Transformers,
  • Cables, High Voltage Generators,
  • Electric Circuits & Surge Arrestors.

The short circuit current output is up to 6mA, again for safety purposes.

The Majortech MT587 has the ability to measure Absorption Ratio and Polarization Index of AC voltage and DC voltage which helps troubleshoot more complex insulation related problems.

Up to 500 test measurement results can be saved for later records and can be displayed for in field analysis so you can further analyse in the field. Stored data can be transferred to a PC using an optical USB and software supplied which is perfect for post analysis and reporting ability.
