Description
You may be on the lookout for a resistance tester more able to deliver a higher current to better understand the challenges you face. This meter can test up to 20 Amps which is sufficient for most of the challenging tasks you may have.
The Majortech MT987 20A Micro-Ohmmeter or DC resistance tester is often required by electrical engineers or technicians for field work. The DC resistance quick tester allows for many uses and it is ergonomically designed for rugged use in the field. The earth continuity tester helps determine leakage challenges and much more. The MT987 20A Micro-Ohmmeter is used to measure the resistance of transformer windings, helping to determine where the problem exists or for maintenance purposes.
The unit is also used for earth conductor continuity testing to ensure the best possible safety. Further testing:
- wire resistance of cables which help understand if cables are perished or faulty
- switches,
- connectors,
- contact resistance of relays which help determine if they should be replaced.
- coils which can help understand if there is a chance of an arc issue.
- motors which help determine if there is a winding challenge.
- equipment casings to see if there is any leakage to earth or other.
- lightning protection belts
- earth connection resistance test between metal components of beams,
- structures like cabinets, steel bars, water pipes, windows, guardrails which help with safety issues.
- radiators
- assembly lines.
The Majortech MT987 20A Micro-Ohmmeter is widely used in the follwing industries
- telecommunications,
- electricity,
- meteorology,
- computer rooms,
- oil fields,
- power distribution lines,
- tower transmission lines,
- gas stations,
- factory earthing grids
- lightning rods
