Very Low Frequency Tester

SKU: VLF.Series

Out stock

This Very Low Frequency (VLF) tester is a specialised tool for assessing the insulation integrity of high-voltage cables by applying a low-frequency AC voltage (typically 0.1 Hz to 0.02 Hz). It is used for commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostics reducing the power requirements weight for better portability compared to traditional 50/60 Hz testing. The tester applies an overvoltage to stress the insulation, which helps detect weaknesses that could lead to premature failure.

  1. Compact & robust design for high voltage test
  2. Air cooled for continuous test
  3. Single button test
  4. Suitable for Polyethylene, cross-linked polyethylene plastic cable and other high voltage electrical equipment

Description

  1. The VLF sine wave test series is a compact, robust and portable VLF sine wave test system for medium and High voltage cables.
  2. Due to the air cooling, the VLF sine wave test series can be used without interruption and is therefore ideal for all users who will be testing with 0.1 Hz sine wave voltages.
  3. The VLF testing system is easy to use thanks to its single-button operation and clear simply structured menu and large LCD display.
  4.  VLF Series ultra-low frequency AC threshold voltage testers are suitable for many application such as
insulation withstand voltage on-site testing of Polyethylene, crosslinked polyethylene plastic cable and other high voltage electrical equipment for power department, industrial and mining company.
  5. Compared with DC voltage withstand test, this device is deemed as a non-destructive test and is a great alternative to AC frequency voltage threshold testing
  6. DC withstand test function available with Model S units.
